Ekta is a strong-willed person who takes a bit of time to open up in social settings, but once we get going, it's usually smooth sailing. She takes pride in her commitment to addressing climate change. She is actively involved in an organization called BEA, where the primary focus is encouraging a lifestyle that minimises waste and promotes mindful living. As part of our advocacy, we champion the use of bio-enzymes, a versatile and eco-friendly cleaning solution that benefits both individuals and the planet.
She completed her graduation with honours in Political Science from Daulat Ram College. Additionally, she pursued a diploma in French from St. Stephen's College, DU. Additionally, she has completed courses like Carbon Literacy, Bioenzyme for Agriculture, and Eco-Club for Climate Change. She also interned at the educational development program from AIESEC POLAND. She currently works as the Social Media Marketing Head at VP Electronics. She also runs her startup, JAEV India, promoting chemical-free products for a healthier environment. Jaev in Hindi means organic; they promote the use of chemical, plastic, and preservative-free products and their packaging. Their aim is to have cleaner air, water, and land and her goal is to make a positive impact on our country's fight against climate change, and she hopes to have her partner's support in achieving this.
She prefers to unwind by reading non-fiction books on climate change, mindful living, and Indian scriptures like Geeta. She is into Zumba dancing and composting. She really enjoys traveling, especially hiking in the mountains. She also enjoys spicy food, especially homemade meals. When eating out, she prefers Italian cuisine. She is a fan of classic songs from the Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar era, along with 90s Bollywood hits and she enjoys a flexible lifestyle. Her last visit to Vietnam and Pachmarhi, a hill station in Madhya Pradesh was a delightful experience. While she doesn't have a specific dream place, she believes every part of the Earth has something special. If she had to pick, seeing the Northern Lights is something she looks forward to.
I am her father and I am a businessman. Her mother is a loving homemaker and Ekta shared a wonderful childhood with her siblings. Our roots trace back to Rajasthan, district Jurhera. We have a family temple there, and it's a tradition to visit it once a year. Ekta's grandfather has two sons and one daughter, and we all live together as a close-knit joint family. Although our ancestral ties are in Rajasthan, we have been living in New Delhi since I was born. Currently, there are 12 members in our family, and we strongly uphold the values of joint family living. Ekta's sister-in-law is her go-to person in the family; we share a special bond.
