Our roots are in Hissar, Haryana, and we are a liberal, upper-middle-class Hindu family. I had a fulfilling career as an IES officer, retiring as the Chief Engineer from the central government. Mother is Post Graduate and a perfect Home maker.Our family values education and has a strong academic background.
My elder son, a Computer Science graduate from IIIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Indore, is a successful consultant. His wife, with an MSc and a PhD from IISc Bangalore, is currently working as a research writer.
